Doctor Who at the Fab Cafe 2, a follow up to the first convention which took place earlier this year, will take place today in Manchester. The event will be run by Fans Like Us who set up 'Who at the Cavern' for three years in Liverpool and the cafe will open its doors for the convention at 9:30am. Stars from the classic series of Doctor Who will be attending the convention and the full guest list is as follows; Sylvester McCoy, Terry Molloy, Mary Tamm, Anneke Wills, Colin Spaull, Richard Franklin, Terrance Dicks, Andrew Cartmel, Lisa Bowerman and Charlie Ross. Big Finish and Fantom Films will also be in attendance of the event along with their products which will be available for purchase and The Red Pills will be performing at the convention's aftershow party. In the latest issue of Torchwood Magazine, issue number eight, Russell T Davies has revealed that that the title of Torchwood series three's five part story is "Torchwood: Children Of Earth". It is unknown at the moment whether each episode will have it's own title or each will be named as parts. The story promises to be as epic as ever and Russell said that if he had to give fans two words about the series they would be "Euros Lyn". Euros has directed many Doctor Who stories over the past few years including Steven Moffat's recent episodes Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead. He will be directing all five parts of Torchwood: Children Of Earth. According to the magazine the story will broadcast over one week in Spring 2009. Filming for the series will start later this month with principal photography starting on the eighteenth of August. What do you think of the title for the story?

Titan Magazines have now revealed the cover and released information for the eight issue of Torchwood Magazine which hits the shops this Thursday. This month's issue takes a look at some of the best Torchwood locations in Cardiff and features interviews Burn Gorman, Julie Gardner and Danny Hargreaves. A synopsis for the upcoming Torchwood audio adventure, Lost Souls, has now been released by the BBC. The episode will take place after the events of Exit Wounds and will feature Captain Jack, Gwen, Ianto and Martha. It will broadcast on BBC Radio 4 next month and the synopsis can be viewed below;

"Somewhere out there in that chaos of darkness and light, of science and protons, of gods and stars and death... somewhere there's an answer."

The Torchwood Institute was founded by Queen Victoria in 1879 to protect the British Empire against the threat of alien invasion. By 2008, all that remains of the organisation is a small team based in Cardiff. And now, following the tragic deaths of two of their colleagues, the remaining three - Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones - have to protect the human race against another unknown force from the darkness.

Martha Jones, ex-time traveller and now working as a doctor for a UN task force, has been called to CERN - the world's largest particle physics laboratory in Geneva - where they're about to activate the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

The LHC is a particle accelerator which has been built deep underground in a 27km tunnel under Switzerland and France. Once activated, the collider will fire beams of protons together, recreating conditions a billionth of a second after the Big Bang - and potentially allowing the human race a greater insight into what the Universe is made of.

But so much could go wrong - it could open a gateway to a parallel dimension, or create a black hole - and now voices from the past are calling out to people and scientists have started to disappear...

Where have the missing scientists gone? What is the secret of the glowing man? What is lurking in the underground tunnel? And do the dead ever really stay dead?

Lost Souls is written by Joseph Lidster who wrote A Day in the Death for the second series of Torchwood and will air on the 10th September at 2:15pm on BBC Radio 4. Lucy Montgomery and Stephen Critchlow will star in the episode alongside John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Gareth David-Lloyd and Freema Agyeman. What do you think of the synospis for Lost Souls?

Character Options have now released an image of The Stolen Earth figure set which is scheduled for release later this year. The set will consist of four figures from the Doctor Who series four finale and they are; The Doctor, Davros, a Crucible Dalek and the Supreme Dalek.
